The Cabot Trail Sea & Golf Chalets are located in the Village of Cheticamp on the world famous Cabot Trail – one of nature’s original masterpieces. We are only minutes away from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, shopping, banks, restaurants featuring traditional and Acadian cuisine, the boardwalk, pubs featuring local entertainment, museums, the hospital and the RCMP detachment. If you are travelling from the Halifax International Airport, we are but a 4 1/2 hour drive away. When travelling from Sydney Airport, we are a 2 hour and 15 minutes drive through some of the most spectacular scenery and friendly people you will ever encounter. From Baddeck and the summer home of Alexander Graham Bell you are a mere one hour leisurely drive through serene country side and fishing hamlets. The distance is of no consequence when you know friendly people will be at the end of your journey to welcome you in the best Acadian tradition. The Cheticamp Area

The Cabot Trail Sea & Golf Chalets are situated on the Cabot Trail, a picturesque drive of 181 miles which was officially opened on October 15, 1932. Since that time it has been marvelled at by distinguished luminaries such as Alexander Graham Bell who found it unsurpassed for its simple and pristine beauty. The area in which we are located offers unbounded experiences for young and old alike. You may partake of a whale cruise , deep sea fishing, horseback riding, hiking, a round of golf, a leisurely dip in the ocean or shop in one of the many well stocked boutiques and finish your day with a stroll along the boardwalk and experience the local Acadian entertainment. Cheticamp and area is yours to discover and enjoy while visiting our chalets.

Hiking

From strolls to strenuous hikes from the meandering to the panoramic, the Cape Breton Highlands National Park has 27 walking trails from which to choose. You are only minutes away from some of the most spectacular hiking trails you will ever experience. Enjoy the trails while keeping a watchful eye for birds and wildlife. Make sure to bring a camera!
